Welcome, Adventurer!

Ah yes, video games. A curse or a blessing, depending on who you talk to. As for me? Well, as you’ve likely guessed by now, I adore video games. And you bet I’m using this blog to embrace that.

I blame my love for video games on my siblings, who also enjoyed video games, meaning that we had practically every Nintendo console out there. Yes, even the Virtual Boy and Wii U. We also had a few PlayStations and an Xbox 360, so there was never a shortage of games to play.

Nowadays, you'll find me gravitating towards games with an absurdly long story full of sci-fi or fantasy elements. I should also mention that I do not play competitively, since I’d much rather spend my time exploring a vast world or making my characters look as ridiculous as possible instead of trying to figure out frames and hitboxes. That’s part of the reason I named the blog “Bytes and Bites” - bytes referring to the video games, and bites referring to my love for food (which I will likely also post about) and the laid-back nature of the blog.

Anyways, I’m here to mess around with my favorite games, as well as to try out some new ones. Might try spicing them up through challenges or by making funny video game related posts. Expect to see plenty of RPGs. I’m also planning to revisit a few childhood games to see what it’s like playing them so many years later, as well as taking a look at my backlog. Maybe I’ll actually finish those games that I forgot I had started.
