A Partial Farewell
Welcome back, adventurer!
There’s no way it’s already May. I started this blog back in September, and now it’s nearly summer. I swear, one blink and now I’m graduating. And let me say, this blog has been a blast. It’s not often that I get to do anything video game related for a school project. Well, unless it’s art. But still, the year’s been pretty great in regards to games.
Since September, I’ve played The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Persona 3 Reload, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, and somehow got myself invested in Animal Jam again. In time, I’d like to talk about all of these games. There’s Tears of the Kingdom’s unique use of durability,
Persona 3’s themes of life and death,
and Final Fantasy VII’s absolutely insane multiverse shenanigans.
And we can’t forget Animal Jam, the child friendly National Geographic game turned into an economic simulator.
I’d also like to incorporate more of my hobbies - share some of my art, make some plushies, and of course make some food related to these games. I mean, how adorable would eevee macarons look?
I honestly wasn’t too sure where to go with this blog at first. I liked video games, and I liked food. That was pretty much my entire thought process. Now, though, I’d like to combine different forms of creativity with the video games I enjoy. Provide a bit of a break between the analytical, geeky stuff. Not that spending time to make art related to games is any less geeky, but I digress. I’m currently working on an eeveelution windchime made of ceramic, and I just finished crocheting a Kirby plush.
And hey, maybe I’ll find others who enjoy the occasional game rambles and showing their love of games through creativity as well.
So yes, it’s the end of an era, so to speak. I have to spend the next few weeks studying for AP exams (ew) and preparing for college. I won’t be updating. But, this certainly won’t be my final post. I love rambling too much to do that. There’s still more games releasing, and you bet I will be talking about them. Atlus is seriously bringing their A-game because Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance and Metaphor: ReFantazio look so cool. So, yes, I'll be back. For now...
